Improving resilience and agricultural biodiversity management in Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems in China

China is home to 11 of the 38 sites currently designated as part of Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS). The sites are valuable ecologically and economically, contributing to the food and livelihood security of local communities. This factsheet presents work conducted by Bioversity International and the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to assess on-farm management of agricultural biodiversity at two GIAHS sites in China.
