Guardians of native potatoes join forces in Central Peru

Indigenous farmers from highland communities have founded the "Asociación de Guardianes de Papa Nativa del Centro de Perú" (AGUAPAN), or Native Potato Guardians’ Association of Central Peru, which will contribute to the economic and social well-being of the region’s smallholders while strengthening their conservation of potato diversity.
