Farming with Biodiversity. Towards nature-positive production at scale.

Our food systems are putting an impossible strain on nature and failing to nourish all people on the planet. Transforming our food systems is therefore key to bending the curve of biodiversity loss and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The challenge ahead is to improve our food production systems without exceeding the carrying capacity of ecosystems and the planet to meet the food and nutrition needs of current and future generations. This requires a paradigm shift from maximizing production at the expense of nature to farming with biodiversity to achieve nature-positive production at scale. This WWF report outlines changes that are needed to create food systems that support rather than exploit nature, with a focus on agricultural production systems.
