Workshop for Nagoya Protocol and Plant Treaty National Focal Points in Latin America and the Caribbean

The capacity-building Workshop for National Focal Points in Latin America and the Caribbean on Mutually Supportive Implementation of the Nagoya Protocol and the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, was held on September 2018 in the auditorium at the International Potato Center (CIP), Lima, Peru. The first set of presentations and discussion were devoted to understanding the rationale and content of the Plant Treaty and Nagoya Protocol, and providing representatives of different stakeholder groups with the opportunity to share their experiences working under both agreements. The presentations were summarized in the form of posters that were prepared in advance of the meeting.
