This trailer introduces the ‘Voices of Diversity’ series, with testimonials from people who foster plant genetic diversity and play active roles in the International Plant Treaty’s Benefit-sharing Fund programme. The video messages come from farmers, practitioners, students, researchers, breeders and policymakers from more than 25 countries. They discuss diverse agro-ecological settings, from lowland paddies and island cultures to dry savannah and mountainous areas, where people grow a variety of crops, often chosen for their adaptability to harsh and changing climate conditions. All messages were written and recorded by the participants themselves, consciously taking the opportunity to share their insights, successes and requests.
This trailer precedes the release of a series of 80 individual 1-min video messages, which will be released in tranches of nine videos every two weeks over the next few months.
