UNDP-GEF Global ABS Project Final Report 2017-2021. Making ABS Work for ALL

For the last four years, the UNDP-GEF Global ABS Project worked alongside 23 countries and partners to develop and strengthen of national ABS frameworks, human resources, and administrative capabilities to implement the Nagoya Protocol, and thus, helping to unleash the potential of genetic resources as key drivers for the sustainable development. The project concluded in mid-2021 with promising results which are introduced in the recently published Report 2017-2021.The report includes the main accomplishments achieved together with the lessons learned during the implementation. Also, it presents the identified opportunities to keep working towards a fully functional and effective system to access and use genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge in a fair, transparent and equitable manner.
